Bargaining 2024

15 November 2024

The parties met on Wednesday November 13 and Thursday November 14 to resume collective bargaining. The Association agreed to cancel the Friday November 15 meetings.

On November 13, the parties discussed:

• • Article 1 in full, having previous discussed 1.3, 1.7, 1.9, and 1.10;

  • Article 4;

  • Article 5; and

  • Article 12.

On November 14, the parties discussed:

• • The Board’s Article 13, having previously tabled the Association’s Article 13;

  • The Board’s Article 15, having previously table the Association’s Article 15;

  • The Addendum, SEIB Plan;

  • Counterproposals from the Board’s team on Articles 10 and 11; and

  • Counterproposals from the Association on Articles 2, 3, 9, 16, and 17.

Articles remaining for discussion at this time are 7 and 8.

28 October 2024

The parties met to resume collective bargaining from October 22 through to October 25.

On October 22, the parties discussed appointment types (1.3).

On October 23, the parties discussed Articles 9, 10, 11, and 18.

On October 24, the parties discussed Articles 2, 3, and 6, and each tabled some counter proposals.

On October 25, the parties discussed Article 15 and began discussing Article 13.

The parties will resume collective bargaining on November 13. They are scheduled to meet on November 13, 14, and 15 with plans to discuss 4, 5, and 12, as well as 13 and 15 in greater detail.

10 September 2024

On 9 September, yesterday, we met with the Board’s negotiating committee and exchanged proposals and opening remarks. 

On 10 September, today, we met again to discuss a preamble that we had offered for discussion as well as Articles 14, 16, and 17.

The parties are scheduled to meet next from 22 to 25 October.

The Parties met to commence collective bargaining.
